Still can't locate the over head, most annoying!

I have to eat humble pie on this one. When I looked more carefully at the image it is annotated a view from Pilsdon Pen and not of Pilsdon Pen.

Hullo!

I regret to report that this still isn't quite working for me. Pildon Pen, Lewesdon Hill or Waddon Hill, and to the north-east or south-west of the range of hills?

Whilst I was in Yeovil Library today I showed this photograph to a retired Westland employee. He took one look at it and said that it is Pilsdon Pen in the background.

I have been out researching in the Yeovil area today. I called into the library in Yeovil and found that it has the largest collection of aviation books you could find anywhere because of the importance of the local employer Agusta Westland. I would recommend a visit if you are interested in anything to do with aviation.

This is likely to be in the Yeovil area as it is one of a series taken in the Yeovil area on 13th May 1947. I have had a good look at the photo and there are no features which stand out to enable a swift identification.
