    I think you will find that this an image of St John the Evangelist Withycombe Village Road Exmouth Devon EX8 3AE. The large period house is The Grange which is now part of Exmouth Community College Gipsy Lane Exmouth Devon EX8 3AF. There is another picture on this site showing the Exmouth Budleigh Salterton branch line and you can see the same church in the background.

    I agree with Jeff. Pity we can't quite see the water mill which would have been just to the right of the picture. The water wheel itself is now on display in Exmouth at Beacon Hill.
