The Cups Hotel Patronised by, it is said, Nelson, Wellington & the Prince Regent in the early 19th Century. Had a ballroom decorated by Robert Adam. Wantonly destroyed by Colchester Council in the 1960s for additional council offices

Sheds for storing horse drawn canons' Inside each cubicle was a circle so the horse could turn round and when unhitched leave the canon ready for the next hitch up.
