Vulcan Inn - closed in 1925. Latterly tied to the Black Lion Brewery (across Monk Street).

The Black Lion Hotel at the bottom of Monk Street. This pub developed its own brewery which went on to own twenty-three fully licensed houses and beer houses but this part of the business was sold off in 1911 - I believe the derelict buildings behind the pub were the brewery.
