Famous old Main Stand building of Albion Rovers FC. In 1988 this stand was replaced with a state of the art facility comprising of gym, indoor training area and coffee making machines. The old stand was to be demolished but at the last minute Celtic FC who are situated in the Parkhead area of Glasgow bought it for £1 on the condition they dismantle it themselves, Celtic duly obliged by sending their first team squad which consisted of joiners, bakers, postmen and bus drivers to take it down piece by piece and transport it to their ground. The stand sits proudly in place as a showpiece to this day.
