Single track branch line to Ayot, Wheathampstead, Harpenden East and Luton Bute Street (line closed 1965). I understand that the writer George Bernard Shaw was a 'regular' on this line as he lived at Ayot St Lawrence, near Ayot and Wheathampstead stations.

Is this a Gresley A4 pacific streamliner heading north on the down main line. The carriage appears to have some sort of nameboard above the carriage windows so could this be a 'titled' train?

The newly opened Welwyn Stores, built in the typical Garden City neo-Georgian style. This architectural style used widely in WGC town centre has lasted very well for more than 70 years!
