THIS BUILDING WAS DEMOLISHED (BOMBED?) AND WAS REPLACED WITH THE BIRMINGHAM REGISTRY OFFICE. WHEN THE REGISTRY OFFICE MOVED TO HOLIDAY ST THE OLD REGISTRY BUILDING WAS CLEARED AFTER 2015.....AND NAMED AS ARENA CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT......... AS OF JUNE 2023 THIS IS STILL A VACANT SITE.

HEAD OFFICE OF THE BIRMINGHAM MUNICIPAL BANK, PART OF THE PROPOSED BROAD STREET REDEVELOPMENT WHICH INCLUDED BASKERVILLE HOUSE. THE BANK BECAME PART OF THE TRUSTEE SAVINGS BANK CONSORTIUM IN 1974 AND THE NAME CHANGED TO THE BIRMINGHAM MUNICIPAL TRUSTEE SAVINGS BANK LINKING IT TO THEIR COMPUTER CENTRE IN HOO ROAD, KIDDERMINSTER. ALL THE TSB REGIONAL ENTITIES BECAME ONE TSB. THIS BUILDING IS NOW A CAFE AND PART OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM.

The parking of cars on the 'flat' takes up a large space for the number of vehicles compared to today's multistorey car parks. Also the positioning of the cars does not seem to make best use the space available.
