Theres a large selection of private owner waggons in the goods yard. I guess the CRIFF ones would have been coal?

An LMS 440 tender loco, awaiting departure with a local train and an LMS 060 tender loco adjacent to the shed. I wonder what the three chaps were doing? Probably loco crews chewing the fat!

Well kept staion gardens. The 1960s WCML signal box is near this site, albeit now out of use.

This was the CO-OP bakery. Not that far from where the bus station and Burger King are now.

It must have been a Monday with all the washing hanging out in the breeze. All the houses of this street have gone and its now the carpark near The Brunell Center.

The Station Masters house is still there today, used as railway offices. It was my families home for almost 50 years, my Mother was born in that house, my Grandfather and Great Grandmother also died there. In fact if you zoom in on one of the pictures you can just make out my Grandfather doing some gardening near the hedge.
