Ex Midland railway which connects with the ex Great Eastern railway at the junction. The Great Eastern went to March and the Midland runs parallel with the E.C.M.L. before turning westward to gain Leicester. The other leg of the junction belongs to the ex London & North Western railway heading (This nowadays AKA the Nene valley railway) towards Rugby.

This was the road access to Peterborough East Station for traffic heading into Peterborough. Avoiding the need to cut across oncoming traffic. Great forward planning from Peterborough City Council. And yes! - It is still there! Waiting to be reopened when we develop the South Bank area?
