In the '70s this building was Latrobes Stationers, round the back down the alley was Latrobes toy shop. If I remember correctly it was run by a brother and sister of that name, the sister running the Stationers and the brother running the toy shop. When it closed my father viewed the property and told me that part of the internal structure was made from an old ship's mast. In the '80s it was Our Price Records.

Lesbourne Hall PH was renamed The Desert Rat on 6th April 1952. Now known as The Venture Inn. The bottom line of the advertisement on the side of the building is Brown Ales but I can't make out the rest. Sausage, chips and beans for 25p was pretty good in 1973.
