The old March/Cambridge Line crossing gates and pedestrian footbridge, they were removed in 1934 when the new River Nene Road Bridge was built, the road was kept sufficiently high to fly over the line and remove the need for crossing gates. Notice the horse and carriage on the level crossing

This is the LNWR line to Castor and Wansford, later to be truncated and form part of the Nene Valley Railway. The present Peterborough Nene Valley Station and the Railworld Project is 100 metres west of this point.

These two tracks (right to London, left to Scotland)were the original 1849 Great Northern Railway, the original GNR Viaduct over the River Nene was listed in the 1980's and been under restoration during 2014. The track here was quadrupled in about 1924, this required two new rail bridges, one over the River Nene the other over the March/Cambridge line.
