Maypole Institute building. Social institute for employees of nearby Monsted Margarine Works.
During WW1 the building served as the Southall Auxiliary
Military Hospital. |

St Marylebone School. This was originally a workhouse school that was opened in 1860.
This building was requisitioned during in 1916 to house No. 2 Australian Auxiliary Hospital along with the girls' school around the corner in Beaconsfield Road.
After WW1 it became a RC school for girls. It was demolished in 1933.
The South Road site is now Hambrough Primary School. |
