In 1966 a local building company started developing this whole area for housing and now the immediate area in this photo is now housing. Incidentally in 1969 a three bedroomed semi detached house with full central heating and a garage on this estate would have set you back £4,300!

Cleave House, Exwick, which was the head office of 'Guide Dogs for the Blind'. In 1966 they sold off all the land around the house and this whole area is now housing.

I helped survey this land for housing in 1966. Rolling countryside very expensive to build on and eventually bankrupted the company that purchased it.
