 William Morris Close greenspace - clearly shows two locations on the green where sub-surface trench shelters were constructed. Later - allegedly, 'poorly' filled in giving rise to rumours of ground movements and cracks appearing in nearby houses. |

| Walthamstow Fire Station moved here from High Street in 1924, and was rebuilt entirely in 2012 at a cost of £30million. The foundation stone from the 1920s site was earmarked for preservation before it was demolished but the local council's preservation officer failed to retrieve it - so it was broken up! |
