' Trailing connection into the private siding. Where possible connections to sidings like this were always in the trailing direction, ie trains had to reverse into them, as it was much safer, with a greatly reduced risk of trains on the main running line accidentally being diverted into the siding with disasterous results. The connection at the other end of the siding just this side of the overbridge is also trailing. '
