Bull Green House was built on this site in 1930s. It was a pioneering venture built in a modern 30s architectural style and was split between office and retail use.
In the 1960s the local Children's Department was based here, followed by Social Services Department. Nowadays (2013) much of the building is occupied by Pennine Housing, the local social housing agency.
Back in the 1960s, Bull Green House was home to one of Halifax's Chinese restaurants - the Kam Lin. What an adventure that was!
