In 1948, the film "Passport to Pimlico" was filmed on a purpose-built set constructed on this site.
By that time, most of the buildings on this block had been destroyed (during WW2), so all that was left (at that time)
was one vast bombsite.
"Passport to Pimlico" was released in 1949. '
