There was a fabulous "fish & chip" shed about this position, where you always went to get a "poke" of chips for 3 pennies - we kids could seldom afford a fish, so it was just loads of chips for those pennies with tons of salt and vinegar (so that bad was soaking right through to the newspaper it was wrapped in.
