' Approximate site of the narrow gauge Festiniog (as then spelt) and Blaenau Railway (F&BR) "Tyddyngwyn" station, 1868-1883. The F&BR ran from Llan Ffestiniog to ANOTHER Duffws station in Blaenau, a couple of hundred yards from the Ffestiniog Railway's Duffws station on the other side of Church Street. The F&BR was not the same as or a proxy of the Ffestiniog Railway, it was the GWR's Trojan Horse to get to Blaenau. Its tracks were overlaid by standard gauge tracks in 1883, when Tyddyngwyn was replaced by Manod station and the F&BR's Duffws was demolished and replaced by the GWR station, which became Blaenau Ffestiniog Central in 1951. B Ff Central closed to passengers in 1960 and completely in 1961, being demolished when the line to Trawsfynydd nuclear power station was built in 1963-4. The present day B Ff station is built on the B Bf Central site which was built on the F&BR's Duffws site. Wikipedia's "Blaenau Ffestiniog Passenger Stations" sets it all out quite clearly. '
