' Railway spur with its own platform and passing loop, the track having left the Midland main line and having passed over a level crossing in Aerodrome Road. This spur was laid at the latter stages of WW1, presumably, to service the heightened aircraft production activity as the result of the war. It continued as a single track to production sites around the northern and western perimeter of the aerodrome and thereafter to the Airco factory site on the Edgware Road. It was abandoned and disconnected by 1921 and virtually the entire route has been built upon during the intervening years. '
