Methodist Church - PE37 7DD Grade 2 listed building - English Heritage Building ID: 460584 Wesleyan chapel, now Methodist church. 1813 3 bays. Each bay separated by panelled giant pilasters. Centre bay at ground floor with 4 Roman Doric columns rising to plain cornice and forming a recessed porch.

Church of St Peter and St Paul, Swaffham 6 Mangate Street, Swaffham, Norfolk PE37 7AP Grade 1 listed building - English Heritage Building ID: 460562 C14-C15 with C18 and C19 alterations and restorations. 2-stage tower begun 1485, completed 1507-10 by Master Gyles. North aisle wall rebuilt 1462 Chancel constructed mid C15. Openwork battlements added 1533, with corner pinnacles. C16 6-bay arch-braced chancel roof. Gothick lantern and lead spike of 1778 by John Frost, rebuilt 1897. 5-light Curvilinear east window of 1853 Image of church interior in January 2007 by John Salmon. Market or Butter Cross, in centre of main open space of Market Place



1781-83. By Mr Wyatt (probably James). For the Earl of Orford. Limestone; lead roof. Circular on plan.

8 unfluted Roman Doric columns set on a triple-stepped plinth support a plain entablature. 2 leaded steps lead into half-round dome upon which is statue of Ceres.



Dished plaster ceiling beneath dome.
