There's a fair number of pictures of Kent at this time, I suppose because it was the only plant that didn't look like a dog's breakfast.

The Kent Cement Plant started as a private venture in 1922, but failed during commissioning and was bought out by APCM. This acquisition allowed APCM to shut down the four adjacent obsolete plants (Albion, Artillery, Greenhithe and Shield) and their quarry land was used by the Kent plant. The plant was doubled in size in 1938, and finally shut in 1970.
