 Margate Cliff Railway. Effectively a short funicular railway which served as a lift between the upper part of the Lido complex and the bathing pool level. It opened in 1913 but was out of service by the late 1970's. The site of the Lido is in need of a lot of attention now, sadly. This picture is taken from the point shown on the "pin" looking west at what remains of the bathing pool. |
