Double-decker ST type (?) bus probably operated by the National Omnibus and Transport Company. This company provided many local bus services north of London in Hertfordshire on behalf of the London General Omnibus Company under an agreement of 1921. In 1932 these services were taken over by London General Country Services, which became the Country Bus Division of London Transport in 1933. On 1 January 1970 this in turn became London Country Bus Services, part of the National Bus Company.

This was Dawnays Engineering Works on the North side of the road and beside the LNER. The WELGAR Shredded Wheat Factory was on the South side of that same road.

Before it was built (1938?) in its current location on the East side of Parkway, it was in a temporary location on the West side of Parkway - right opposite. I remember going to the first shop. I also saw Disney's Fantasia and The Wizard of Oz at the Embassy when they were released. The Luton Line passed under the White Bridge and through the woods at the North end of the Campus.
