I have used all the facilities at my disposal to locate this photo.

a. We know the likely general locality in which it was taken

b. from the suns rays it was likely to have been taken looking south.

c. Pennine peat bogs are difficult to map find precise locations. ( it must be great with GPS)

d. I have used Google maps, National Library of Scotland 's maps and the 1:50000 Ordnance Survey.

e. I can find nothing to disprove this location.

f. It is looking south from Longdendale towards Bleaklow with Stable Clough in the centre of the frame.

We know that this is likely to be in the vicinity of Torside Clough in Derbyshire but it is very difficult to locate it precisely.
