Anti sea-plane defences on E Looe River. In 1940 tree trunks, the size of telegraph poles, were secured at one end so they'd swing about on the tide with the idea they'd prevent sea planes landing at high tide.

Small craft boat building yard. Made the wooden hulls of MTBs which were then floated round to Par to have the engines fitted.

Looe Coastal Gun Battery - this and the two structures to the right. It was established in July 1940 with 2 x4in naval guns. By 1943 it had 2 x5.5in naval guns. Manned by 394 Battery of 557 Coast Regt until the Home Guard took over in 1943. Put into Care & Maintenance in 1944.
