The then very modest Watford Road bridge over the Met & GC railway lines at the convergence of Watford Road, Sheepcote Road and Kenton Road. At this time the small overbridge had only to accommodate four tracks. At the start of the 1970s the single bridge then in place would be replaced by the far more intrusive Northwick Park roundabout junction. '
