At the time of this picture this was Corbetts iron works, later Morris lubricants.
The Perseverance Iron Works was built in Castle Foregate by Thomas Corbett from 1871. Another part of the works was built on the western side of the road in 1884. The Iron Works produced a wide range of agricultural machinery. In 1929 the buildings were purchased by Morris and Co for oil blending. '
